Workshop
His workshop is located in a converted hydro-electric station on the eastern edge of the Massif Central, near St Etienne and Lyon in France.

Ideology
David’s work focuses ‘Where the boundaries of Art, Design and Craft merge’. He likes to innovate around the issues of shape, texture and colour. Contemporary materials and techniques are embraced alongside traditional woodworking to arrive at new solutions for everyday situations. His flexible approach and solid making skills help him to push at the boundaries of contemporary furniture design whilst preserving the integrity of traditional craftsmanship.

History
David graduated as a zoologist and travelled and worked all over the world before returning to England to retrain as a cabinet maker at Rycotewood College in Oxfordshire. He relocated his workshop to France in 2004.
